Objective 3 of the EU Cohesion Policy for the period 2007-2013, European Territorial Cooperation, is dedicated to interregional, transnational and cross-border cooperation and replaces the Community Initiative Programme INTERREG III 2000-2006. European Territorial Cooperation is implemented through the Structural Funds of the EU and in particular through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) concentrating on the following three axes:
